We seek a third high-calibre member of our sales team to spearhead co-edition and rights sales activities into Europe. The successful candidate can look forward to lots of international travel to territories and book fairs plus great opportunities for career development.
Candidate will be responsible for major territories depending on languages and experience. Reporting to Director, duties to include:
- Overview of sales strategy for all categories of titles for each European territory
- Research and qualify suitable publishers in each territory
- Present titles and close deals to set targets per territory
- Attend international book fairs and undertake regular sales trips to territories
- Production and monitoring of co-edition contracts, invoices and other post-sale issues with client publishers
- Organising appointments for meetings at international book fairs and trips
- Management of rights charts and budget
- Produce bi-monthly sales reports
- Contribute to and give feedback on development of new projects
- Work closely with sales team, production and editorial to optimise sales potential of each project.
You should have:
- Initiative, ambition, intelligence and a strong commercial sense
- A track record of success in sales, marketing, publishing, bookselling or a similar occupation
- Experience in co-edition sales especially welcome
- Strong language skills.
- Overseas work experience desirable.
Salary and Job Title dependent on experience.
